Indigo Circus
We had two very talented circus artists take the stage and amaze our students with a fun variety of circus skills. Throughout the show the performers discussed the hard work & practice that was needed, how they relate and communicate with each other, how mutual respect and teamwork play a huge role in their performance, and how they’ve dealt with adversity as they’ve pursued an ‘out of the box’ career. In the end, our students not only had a lot of fun, they also learned valuable lessons about working with others and how to be resilient and creative when facing challenges.

After the performance, as a class we talked about the different lessons we learned and charted them.

Adopt a School
There are less than 4 days left of the Adopt a School program! That's still plenty of time to raise funds for your library.

Here are three tips to help you pass the finish line strong:

1. Get blogging! Engage your supporters with your Adopt a School blog. Let supporters know how the impact their donation will have your school, students and library.

2. Share a story! Ask teachers and community members to
share a story in support of your school! Every time an approved story is posted to your school’s Adopt a School profile, we'll donate a book to your school, up to 20 books!*

3. Spread the love!
Heart your favourite story about literacy! The top 5 stories in each province will have a chance to win books for their adopted school!
