Chinese Cultural Center
When we got to the cultural center we sat in a circle and looked up. Students were asked to acknowledge a few different things that they noticed when they looked up. We then shared what we noticed in a sharing circle.
The building is modeled after the "Temple of Heaven"
Located in the Chinese Cultural Center is a museum. We went and explored one area of the museum and looked at pictures and artifacts.
Here students are trying to get the Fish Basin to "sing"
After the cultural center we headed back to Eau Claire to eat lunch. After lunch we walked over to the +15's and walked them until we got to Jamieson Place.
What is a +15?
What are the positives and negatives ripple effects of a +15?
The Winter Garden- Jamieson Place
Students journaled a "See, Think, Wonder, Feel" journal about this space.
After we journaled, we continued through 7 more +15's until we ended up at the Bow Tower. We talked about the structure and architecture of the building before we got on the bus and made our way back to school.
