Language Arts
In Language Arts this week, we started looking at some Jan Brett Books. We focused our attention onto what good readers can do.
Good readers:
- Make predictions: they use the pictures and the words to guess what is going to happen next
- Make connections: to other stories they have read or to their own lives
- Compare and Contrast stories: think about what things are the same and what things are different
Doing these things helps you to understand stories better.
