Royal Tyrrell Museum- Presentation

On Wednesday morning our class had an in-school field trip to the Royal Tyrrell Museum through a distance school program called “Rockin’ Alberta”. Ask your child about the three sciences we learned about, as well, as what the three types of rocks are called and how they are formed.

Microbits Presentation

This morning we had a coding presentation by Mrs. Kim from KidCodeJeunesse. She taught us how to code using microbits. Students can do this from home by going to the following link: https://kidscodejeunesse.org/microbit.html

Social Studies/ Health
In Social Studies we have been looking at Ripple Effects and how our choices impact the world around us. In Health we have been talking about wellness. We read the story "Have you Filled a Bucket Today" and linked the story to both our ripple effects and to wellness. Students brainstormed many different ways that filling someones bucket can have positive effects on our wellness and how the different positive effects can cause different ripple effects.
